By accessing or using Recorded ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Recorded is a decision-logging platform that helps teams document, track, and recall the rationale behind their decisions. The Service includes a web dashboard and integrations with third-party messaging platforms.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Upload malicious content or code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Data Ownership

You retain all rights to the content you create on Recorded. We do not claim ownership of your decision records, team data, or any other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

6. Payment & Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All fees are non-refundable unless required by law
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' prior notice
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension of service

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recorded shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
